Forum Chair to speak at City of Durham Trust Meeting

Dr Muriel Sawbridge, who chairs the Forum, has accepted an invitation from the City of Durham Trust to speak at its Spring Meeting on Saturday 22nd March, at 2:15pm. The meeting will take place in Antioch House, at 66 Crossgate opposite St Margaret’s Church.

Muriel has chosen as her subject Durham’s Neighbourhood Planning Forum – An Opportunity to Democratise Decision-Making? and she very much wants this to be less of a talk and more of an interactive session, and she encourages questions and contributions from everybody.

NPF gains Council approval

Durham City Neighbourhood Planning Forum has gained approval from Durham County Council. This follows a period of public consultation that ended on 3rd January.

Cllr Neil Foster, Cabinet member for economic regeneration, said: “Neighbourhood planning is a great way of ensuring that residents and businesses with local knowledge can have a real say on the direction of planning and the future of where they live and work.”

The Decision notice is signed by Head of Planning Stuart Timmiss and Neil Foster.
