Ground rules

We want the Durham City Neighbourhood Plan activities and this website to be as open as possible, but we need a few ground rules:

Your views: views and comments, whether posted on this website or sent by email or snail mail, must be relevant , decent, respectful of others and not defamatory. Comments that do not meet these criteria may be removed, or edited if that would resolve the problem.

Your first online comment will be reviewed before being added to this website, but once it has been accepted any subsequent comments will go straight onto the site, but will still be subject to review.

Emailed and postal comments will also be added to the site, assuming they meet the above criteria. Because this entails intervention by volunteers, there may be a delay in doing this.

Your name will be published but your email address will not be. In exceptional circumstances the officers may agree to anonymous or pseudonymous publication, but your real name must be disclosed to the officers. If you use a nickname when commenting, you may be asked to say what your real name is.

Formatting your comment: If you are familiar with HTML, you may use the following tags in your comment: <a href=”” title=””> <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””> <b> <blockquote cite=””> <cite> <code> <del datetime=””> <em> <i> <q cite=””> <strike> <strong>
